Diptyque Distribution LLC Case Settles for $9,000

On July 23, 2012, a Consumer Products case was settled with Diptyque Distribution LLC for selling and/or supplying non-compliant air fresheners. These products contributed to 0.48 tons excess VOC emissions due to exceeding the 18% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for Air Fresheners: liquid/pump sprays specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). In addition, these products failed to display a manufactured date or a date-code on the product container as required in title 17, CCR, section 94512(b). Diptyque Distribution LLC paid $9000 to settle this case.
