Diamond S Cattle Company, LLC Settles For $47,363
In March 2025, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Diamond S Cattle Company, LLC (Diamond S), with its principal location in Bozeman, Montana for the company’s violation of the Regulation to Reduce Emissions of Diesel Particulate Matter, Oxides of Nitrogen and Other Criteria Pollutants, from In-Use Heavy-Duty Diesel-Fueled Vehicles (Truck and Bus Regulation), as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025.
An investigation conducted by CARB staff revealed that Diamond S was operating an illegal glider vehicle in California that violated the in-use requirements of the Truck and Bus Regulation (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 13, § 2025 et seq.). The terms of the settlement include a requirement for Diamond S to pay a penalty of $47,363. This penalty is suspended unless Diamond S brings the vehicle that is the subject of this violation back into California, or otherwise violates CARB regulations in the future.
Diamond S fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter. The penalty amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
