Consulting Advantage Inc. dba Truck Driving Academy Case Settles for $2,000
In February, 2015, Consulting Advantage Inc. dba Truck Driving Academy paid $2,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $1,500.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $500.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Consulting Advantage Inc. dba Truck Driving Academy failed to bring their fleet in compliance by properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Consulting Advantage Inc. dba Truck Driving Academy agreed to the $2,000.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP and all other applicable ARB programs.
