CMA CGM Case Settlement
CMA CGM Case Settles for $7,500
CMA CGM paid $7,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board (ARB), for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on December 4, 2017. An investigation by ARB showed that the CMA CGM vessel CMA CGM Figaro failed to operate on compliant fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2017. CMA CGM took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, CMA CGM agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
