CIDO Shipping (Korea) Co., Ltd. Case Settles for $10,000.00

CIDO Shipping (Korea) Co., Ltd. has paid $10,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on August 9, 2012. An investigation by the ARB showed that the CIDO Shipping (Korea) Co., Ltd. vessel Grand Venus, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, CIDO Shipping (Korea) Co., Ltd. agreed to the $10,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
