The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd. Case Settles for $129,500

The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd. has paid $129,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations.  This settlement was reached on December 20, 2015.  An investigation by the ARB showed that The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd. vessel, Chenan, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon multiple entries into Regulated California Waters.  The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion.  To settle the case, The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd. agreed to the $129,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
