Chemical Transfer Co. Case Settles for $3,500.00
Chemical Transfer Co., Inc. agreed to pay $3,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $2,625.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $875.00 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in November 2012.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Chemical Transfer Co., Inc. failed to comply with the In-Use Off-Road Diesel regulation by failing to register its off-road construction vehicles. To settle the case, Chemical Transfer Co., Inc. agreed to the $3,500.00 penalty and to comply with In-Use Off-Road Diesel regulation.
