Briggs and Stratton Corporation Case Settlement
Briggs and Stratton Corporation Case Settles for $13,875
On January 13th 2017, Briggs and Stratton Corporation (Briggs) agreed to pay $13,875.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Briggs had sold riding mowers that were built with a carbon canister that differed from the build on their Executive Order. Upon receiving a Cease and Desist Briggs halted sales of the riding mowers and fully cooperated with ARB to resolve the violations at hand.
