Briggs and Stratton Corporation Case Settles for $3,000
On August 30, 2012, a Consumer Products case was settled with the Briggs and Stratton Corporation for selling and/or supplying non-compliant heavy duty degreaser. This product contributed .07 tons of excess VOC emissions due to exceeding the 10% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for General Purpose Degreaser (aerosol) under title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 94509(a). Briggs and Stratton Corporation paid $3,000 to settle this case.
