One Stop Truck Event — Tulare: On September 17 in Tulare, CARB will host a One Stop Truck Event as part of a multi-stop roadshow throughout California. CARB staff, local agencies, and air districts will provide insight, education, and resources on CARB’s clean truck and diesel regulations, compliance, and funding. The public will have the opportunity to listen to presentations and participate in one-on-one discussions with CARB regulatory experts and incentive program staff.
Evening Community Meeting — Clean Transportation Projects for a Cleaner California: On September 17 via remote access, CARB will host an evening community meeting to discuss plans for funding clean transportation projects, provide updates on incentive project implementation as well as other CARB initiatives, and offer a forum for community members to express their concerns and make suggestions.
Public Workshop on Exemption Procedure Amendments: On September 17 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss proposed amendments to the procedures for the exemption of add-on and modified parts for on-road vehicles or engines. The proposed amendments will clarify, modify, and update the processes and criteria for obtaining an exemption Executive Order so that the application review process becomes more transparent and efficient. CARB staff will review and present the proposal and seek input from interested stakeholders.
Statewide Mobile Monitoring Initiative Kickoff Meeting: On September 17 via remote access, CARB will host a kickoff meeting for the launch of the first Statewide Mobile Monitoring Initiative (SMMI). SMMI is designed to collect data on criteria pollutants, toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gases in communities through mobile monitoring. Roundtable to Incorporate Environmental Justice Into Research Priorities: On September 18 in East Palo Alto and via remote access, CARB, along with Climate Resilient Communities, will host a roundtable meeting to collaborate with the public in incorporating environmental justice into research priorities surrounding air quality, climate change, health, and sustainable communities. This meeting is part of a series of roundtables where the public will have the opportunity to share concerns and priorities in small group discussions. Outcomes from the meeting will help shape potential research projects for CARB’s 5-Year Strategic Research Plan for the 2025-2030 time period.
Zero Emissions Ride & Drive Trucker Appreciation Day, Port of Oakland: On September 20 in Oakland, CARB, along with CALSTART, California HVIP, Harbor Trucking Association, and the Port of Oakland, will host a Zero-Emissions Ride & Drive event titled, “Trucker Appreciation Day,” as part of the effort to transition to zero-emission vehicles. Staff will offer test drives of a variety of fuel cell and battery electric trucks. Members of the public, including fleet owners, will also have the opportunity to talk with experts, including Cal Fleet Advisor, on finance, insurance, hydrogen fuel, electric charging infrastructure, among other topics, in order to help facilitate the zero-emission transition.
