Public Work Group Meeting on Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation: On November 17 via remote access, CARB will host a public work group meeting and technical discussion to analyze data sources and assumptions used to model emission impacts of the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulation. CARB staff will also address topics raised by public fleet stakeholders in previous meetings. The ACF rulemaking is part of a comprehensive strategy to achieve zero-emission truck and bus fleets by 2045.
Public Training Webinar on Diesel Particulate Filter Operations and Maintenance: On November 18 via remote access, CARB staff will hold a public training webinar on Diesel Emission Control Strategies as well as diesel particulate filter (DPF) technology. The course will cover health impacts from diesel emissions, diesel emission control technology, DPF construction and application, and the maintenance necessary for successful DPF operation.
Board Meeting: On November 19 via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda items: (1) proposed research contract with the University of California, Davis entitled, "Understanding Travel Demand and Built Environment Factors to Optimize Increased ZEV Access in Underserved Communities;" (2) proposed research contract with the University of California, Los Angeles entitled, “Preterm Birth, Low Birth Weight, Childhood Autism, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer Disease and Air Pollution--California Studies;” (3) announcement of 2019 Haagen Smit Clean Air Awards (postponed since April 2020 due to Covid); (4) proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives and the proposed changes for related incentive programs including the Carl Moyer Program, Agricultural Burning Incentives for Combustion Equipment, and the Climate Heat Impact Response Program; (5) Draft Final Cap-and Trade Proceeds Fourth Investment Plan for FY 2022-23 through FY 2024-25; and (7) proposed amendments to the Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation.
