Clean Transportation Incentives for a Cleaner California - Budget, Access Clean California, Equity Symposium: On May 20 via remote access, CARB continues to host a series of monthly evening community meetings on the third Tuesday of most months. The purpose of these meetings is to host focused discussions on CARB’s Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan Development Process, which explains how CARB will spend money on projects related to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and improving air quality. More information can be found on the meeting webpage.
2026 SB 375 Regional Target Update – Workshop 2: On May 21 via remote access, CARB will host a second workshop on SB 375, the Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act of 2008, which requires each metropolitan planning organization (MPO) to develop a sustainable communities strategy (SCS) as part of its regional transportation plan. The purpose of the SCS is to integrate land use and transportation planning to support the State’s climate goals. To help guide these regional planning efforts, CARB is required to establish regional greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets for 2020 and 2035 and to evaluate each SCS to approve the MPO’s determination of whether their SCS, if implemented, would meet the targets. More information can be found on the workshop webpage.
