Fiscal Year 2025-26 Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan Kick-Off: On Jun 17 via remote access, CARB will host the kickoff workshop for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan (Funding Plan). In this workshop CARB staff will discuss overview and background information about the Funding Plan. They will also discuss any potential funding and policy changes for light‑duty incentive projects, which includes vehicle purchase incentive projects as well as sustainable community-based transportation equity projects (mobility projects); and, medium- and heavy-duty on- and off-road vehicle and equipment incentives. CARB staff plans to release a Proposed FY 2025-26 Funding Plan in the fall of 2025 prior to Board consideration. Future workgroups, workshops, and Evening Community Meetings will incorporate more detailed discussions about how to allocate any funds among incentive projects and how to refine the projects through policy changes. Clean Transportation Incentives - Funding Plan, Zero-Emission Assurance Project, Heavy Duty Incentives: On Jun 17 via remote access, CARB will again host part of a series of monthly evening community meetings on the third Tuesday of most months. The purpose of these meetings is to host focused discussions on CARB’s Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan Development Process, which explains how CARB will spend money on projects related to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and improving air quality. Zero-Emissions Showcase + Ride & Drive: On Jun 12 in Anaheim, CA, CARB along with CALSTART are sponsoring a free zero-emission truck and off-road showcase and Ride & Drive event. There will be a large variety of vehicles, including those commonly used by government fleets, such as pickup trucks, work trucks, box trucks, and more, for participants to test drive and learn about. Manufacturer representatives will be on-site to answer questions. The last event in Pomona featured over 70 Class 2b-8 trucks, buses, vans, and off-road equipment More information can be found on the showcase webpage.
Funding Plan Workgroup for Clean Mobility Investments: On Jun 20 via remote access, CARB staff will provide updates on our Clean Mobility Investments, which include Clean Mobility Options, Clean Mobility in Schools, Sustainable Transportation Equity Project, and Planning and Capacity Building. Staff will share outcomes, successes, lessons learned and begin policy and funding discussions for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 to solicit input from the public.
