Training Webinar on Transportation and Refrigeration: On January 24 via remote access, CARB staff will hold a training webinar on Transportation and Refrigeration Units (TRU). Topics that will be covered include regulation applicability, hiring and contracting TRUs, compliance requirements, and registration and labeling. TRUs are used on semi-trailers, truck vans, shipping containers, and rail cars and most are diesel-powered. To reduce risk of exposure to diesel particulate matter from TRUs, owners, operators, dispatchers, and distribution centers must comply with the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measures.
Mobility Provider Roundtable Webinar: On January 25 via remote access, CARB will hold a roundtable webinarfor Mobility Project Vouchers applicants. During this event, participants will receive information on the mobility provider directory, guidance on partnerships and budget development, and the different ways mobility providers can support mobility projects. The Clean Mobility Options Pilot Program offers $33 million in available funding and each voucher can receive up to $1.5 million each.
Public Webinar on CARB Programs and Regulations: On January 26 via remote access, CARB will host a public webinar on several new regulatory programs that will aid the State in achieving carbon neutrality. The course will cover requirements for existing, new, and upcoming regulations, proposed program elements, and the regulatory process.
Board Meeting: On January 26 via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda items: 1) proposed amendments to the regulations designating areas of California as attainment, nonattainment, nonattainment-transitional, or unclassified for pollutants for the State ambient air quality standards; 2) adoption of the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District 2022 Air Quality Management Plan for the 70 ppb 8-Hour Ozone Standard; 3) adoption of the South Coast Air Quality Management District 2022 Air Quality Management Plan; 4) adoption of the San Joaquin Valley 70 parts per billion Ozone State Implementation Plan; 5) proposed research projects for fiscal year 2023-2024; and 6) an overview of California Air Resources Board priorities for 2023.
