Joint Coordination Meeting of CARB, CTC, and HCD: On Apr. 9 in San Francisco, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) will host a joint public meeting with CARB and the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The purpose of these joint meetings, which are held at least twice a year, is to coordinate interagency efforts in the implementation of policies that affect transportation, air quality, housing, and climate. Topics will include: (1) An Interagency Progress Report, (2) Housing as a Climate Solution, and (3), Sustainable Communities’ Strategy Successes and Implementation Challenges.
Health Analysis Consultants' Findings on Environmental Justice in Health Impact Assessments Meeting: On Apr. 10 via remote access, CARB’s Research Division will host a meeting to discuss findings from four contracted health consultants who will provide recommendations on approaches for evaluating health impacts in disadvantaged communities. This meeting is intended to present the consultants’ individual ideas and recommendations on methodologies to incorporate community vulnerabilities and disparate exposures in three aspects of health assessments: population characteristics, health endpoints, and societal factors.
