Blue Ribbon Products, Inc. Case Settles for $6,300

A case was settled with Blue Ribbon Products, Inc. on November 17, 2014 for distributing a non-compliant general purpose cleaner product in California. The product exceeded its respected VOC standard specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a) and the total excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation were calculated to be 0.32 tons. In addition, the company did not file an explanation for the date code used on the product as required in Sections 94512(c) of Title 17 CCR, Product Dating Requirements. Providence Products agreed to pay $6,300 to settle the case with three equal payments of $2,100 payable to ARB in every two months.
