BigLift Shipping B.V. Case Settles for $23,750.00

BigLift Shipping B.V. has paid $23,750.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on April 9, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the BigLift Shipping B.V. vessel Happy Dynamic, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel for it’s Main Engines upon entry into Regulated California Waters. BigLift Shipping B.V. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, BigLift Shipping B.V. agreed to the $23,750.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
