The Best Demolition & Recycling Company Incorporated Case Settles for $3,200
The Best Demolition & Recycling Company Incorporated will pay $3,200.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $2,400.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $800.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in March, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that The Best Demolition& Recycling Company Incorporated failed to report and label four of their off-road diesel equipment into the Diesel Off-Road Online Reporting System (DOORS). ARB documented the violations as they related to the Off-Road Diesel Vehicle (ORDV) Regulation. To settle the case, The Best Demolition & Recycling Company Incorporated agreed to the $3,200.00 penalty and to comply with ORDV regulation and other ARB programs.
