Beacon Adhesive Co., Inc. Case Settles for $12,000.00

On March 11, 2013, a case was settled with Beacon Adhesives Co., Inc for selling undated containers of Quick Grip All Purpose Permanent Adhesive and Zip Dry Paper Glue products, subject to the VOC limit for General Purpose Adhesives category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The products contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 10 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 0.74 tons of excess emissions. In addition, several other products were also obtained that failed to display the date of manufacture which is in violation of the Consumer Products Regulation. The company paid $12,000 to settle the case.
