Bass Pro Shops Case Settles for $8,000

On May 26, 2009, Bass Pro Shops settled a case involving violations of the Portable Fuel Container and Spouts regulations for a payment of $8,000.  Bass Pro Shops sold, supplied, or offered for sale in California the Scepter 5.3-gallon Diesel Portable Fuel Container which, at the time of sale, did not meet all of the Performance Standards for Spill-Proof Systems.
