Baja-Frige Case Settles for $22,500

Baja-Frige, located in San Diego, operates a U.S. Custom cold storage facility.  Air Resources Board (ARB) staff inspected this facility on January 20, 2016.  The inspection revealed that Baja-Frige owns and operates medium sized refrigeration systems, each with a full charge greater than 200 pounds of a high global warming potential refrigerant.  The facility was not registered as required at the time of inspection.  Baja-Frige registered and submitted all required reports and fees.  This case was settled on January 13, 2017, for $22,500.
