Baja Freight Forwarders, Inc. Settles for $5,250.00
Baja Freight Forwarders, Inc. has paid $5,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,250.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in May 2019.
An investigation by the California Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Baja Freight Forwarders, Inc. failed to verify that each hired or dispatched vehicle was in compliance with the Truck and Bus (TB) regulation and to comply with the record keeping requirements. One of those fleets was determined to be out of compliance with the TB regulation. To settle the case, Baja Freight Forwarders, Inc. agreed to the $5,250.00 penalty and to comply with TB regulation and other CARB programs.
