Astral Del Noroeste, SA De CV Settles for $10,920.00

In October 2019, the California Air Resources Board and Astral del Noroeste, SA de CV (Astral del Noroeste), of San Diego, California, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $10,920.00.  Astral del Noroeste sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured aerosol deodorant products for use in California containing concentrations of high volatility organic compounds (HVOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94502(a)(2).  The violation resulted in 0.728 tons of excess HVOC emissions.  To come into compliance, Astral del Noroeste has ceased sales of aerosol deodorants to California.
