Arrow Highway Truck Parts Case Settles for $2,250
In March 2014, Arrow Highway Truck Parts paid $2,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $1,687.50 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $562.50 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Arrow Highway Truck Parts failed to comply with the Verification Procedure by selling and offering for sale used verified diesel emission control strategies. Verification Procedure prohibits the advertisement, sale, lease, or offer for sale or lease of a used verified diesel emission control strategy. To settle the case, Arrow Highway Truck Parts agreed to the $2,250.00 penalty and to comply with the Verification Procedure.
