Amika, LLC Settles for $3,000

In March, 2021, the California Air Resources Board and Amika, LLC, of Cary, North Carolina, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $3,000. Amika, LLC sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured a crawling bug insecticide (aerosol) product for use in California containing a concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17 CCR), section 94509(a). The VOC violation resulted in 0.12 tons of excess VOC emissions. Amika, LLC discontinued the product.
