American Golf Corporation Case Settles for $13,350
American Golf Corporation paid $13,350.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $10,013.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $3,337.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in February 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that American Golf Corporation failed to report changes in its off-road fleet per the reporting requirements set forth in the In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation (ORE) and added prohibited vehicles after the deadline. ARB documented violations as they related to ORE. To settle the case, American Golf Corporation agreed to the $13,350.00 penalty and to comply with ORE and other ARB programs.
