Amazon.com LLC Case Settles for $64,250

In March 2015, Amazon.com, LLC (Amazon) settled its case with the Air Resources Board (ARB) involving violations related to sales and advertising of 257 non-compliant Patmont Motor Werks, Inc. (aka Go-Ped) scooters with small off-road engines (SORE) that were not legal for sale in California. Amazon has agreed to pay a penalty of $250 per unit for a total penalty of $64,250 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund.
