Alorair Solutions, Inc. Settles For $4,000
In April 2023, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Alorair Solutions, Inc. (Alorair), with its principal location in Chino, California, for the company’s violations of CARB’s Regulation for Limiting Ozone Emissions from Air Cleaning Devices (Indoor ACD Regulation) as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 17, sections 95800, et seq.
An investigation conducted by CARB staff revealed that Alorair sold, supplied, offered for sale, or introduced into commerce in California, uncertified indoor air cleaning devices that are subject to an ozone emission concentration limit of 0.050 parts per million (ppm). Alorair also failed to display the required California sales advisory statement on webpages advertising uncertified indoor air cleaning devices.
To settle the case, Alorair agreed to pay a penalty of $4,000. The penalty will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. Alorair fully cooperated with CARB toward resolution in this matter. To come into compliance, Alorair’s web pages advertising uncertified indoor air cleaning devices now include the required California sales advisory statement, and uncertified devices are no longer offered for sale to customers in California.
