Alfonso Delgado DBA Delcam Trucking Case Settles for $16,800
Alfonso Delgado DBA Delcam Truckingwill pay $16,800.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $12,600.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $4,200.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in December 2015.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Alfonso Delgado DBA Delcam Trucking failed to: (1) bring its Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards, (2) bring its diesel trucks into compliance with particulate matter best available control technology requirements, and (3) properly self-inspect its diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke opacity standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP), the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure, and the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Alfonso Delgado DBA Delcam Trucking agreed to the $16,800.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, TRU, TB, and other ARB programs.
