Commercial and government fleets: California’s zero-emissions fleet regulations may affect you
California has withdrawn its request for a waiver and authorization for the addition of the Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulation to its emissions control program. At this time, CARB is evaluating next steps. The state and local government fleets portion of the ACF Regulation remains unaffected. Because CARB is committed to reducing air pollution to protect public health, we encourage affected industries to continue reducing their emissions and we look forward to continued partnership in these efforts.
State and local government agencies with vans, buses, and trucks, from ¾-ton thru semis that have a GVWR over 8,500 lbs., are subject to Advanced Clean Fleets. Read the quick overview below, then continue to the official Advanced Clean Fleets program page.
Changes to your fleet should be reported in TRUCRS.
Flexibility through exemptions and extensions may be available.
