Advanced Beauty Systems Inc. Case Settles for $14,500

A case was settled with Advanced Beauty Systems, Inc. for selling several units of hair styling products into California that exceeded the 6 percent by weight for “Hair Styling Product: aerosol and pump sprays” standard specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). The products were sold from January 2010 to July 2013 and resulted in 0.94 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation. Advanced Beauty Systems, Inc. paid $14,500 to settle the case.
