Action Equipment Rentals Case Settles for $1,800
In April 2015, Action Equipment Rentals (Action Equipment) paid $1,800.00 for non-compliance with Air Resources Board (ARB) regulations: $1,350.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $450.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the ARB showed that Action Equipment failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). ARB documented violations as they related to PSIP. To settle the case, Action Equipment agreed to the $1,800.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs. Action Equipment does not have a history of past violations.
