Summary
Would revise and recast the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, also known as the Clean Transportation Program, to expand the purpose of the program to help reduce criteria air pollutants and air toxics, as well as, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, when developing and deploying innovative technologies that transform California’s fuel and vehicle types. This bill requires California Energy Commission CEC to invest no less than 50 percent, over a three-year period, in programs and projects that directly benefit or serve residents of disadvantaged and low-income communities and low-income Californians.
