True Value Company Case Settles for $15,500

On October 4, 2016, a case was settled with True Value Company for selling/manufacturing “Peak Deicer and Cleaner +20 F” subject to the VOC limit for Automotive Windshield Washer Fluid: non-Type A areas, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 1 percent by weight VOC limit for the category. Excess emissions in this case were approximately 0.344 tons. The company paid $15,500.00 to settle the case.
