$1,000 in Fines Paid by Transit Agency

Staff of the Heavy Duty Diesel Enforcement Section - South, working in tandem with the Mobile Source Control Division, submitted seven transit bus fleet cases to ARB's Office of Legal Affairs regarding settlement for notices of violation as they relate to Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations for the transit bus fleet regulation.

Six of these seven transit bus fleet cases have settled, with the latest being the City of Folsom for $1,000. Settlement is pending for the remaining transportation agency in question.

The settlement monies will be deposited in the state's Air Pollution Control Fund (APCF). The APCF is used to mitigate various sources of pollution through education and the advancement and use of cleaner technology.
