Tractor Supply Company Settlement 2012
Tractor Supply Company Case Settles for $8,900
In August 2012, Tractor Supply Company agreed to pay $8,900.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Tractor Supply Company failed to comply with the small off-road engine regulation by neglecting to certify its engines prior to import and sale in California. To settle the case, Tractor Supply Company agreed to the $8,900.00 penalty and to comply with the 13 California Code of Regulations section 2400(a)(2) with respect to the sale of non-certified small off-road engines.
