Safeway, Inc. Case Settles for $11,800
Between January 2014 and January 2015, Safeway, Inc. sold a non-compliant Multi-Purpose Lubricant product in California that was in violation of VOC limits contained in ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations. The sale of the product resulted in 0.36 tons of excess VOC emissions. Safeway immediately stopped selling the product and implemented additional product block safeguards with their suppliers to prevent the sale of non-compliant consumer products. The case was settled on December 22, 2015 for $11,800.
