Community-Identified Project Approval Notice: Drive Clean in the San Joaquin Replace Emission Reduction Program
This is CARB's notice of approval of San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's (APCD) submitted Project Plan to reduce Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) and Particulate Matter (PM2.5) emissions from passenger vehicles by 1) providing incentives for Shafter residents to replace up to 300 high emitting vehicles and 2) work with a local partner to purchase and deploy up to 20 battery electric vehicles with a range of at least 150 miles and
associated charging infrastructure for residents who would like to check-out battery
electric vehicles.
