Pasha Stevedoring and Terminals L.P. Case Settles for $52,500

The facility of Pasha Stevedoring and Terminals, L.P. (Pasha), located in the Port of Los Angeles was inspected on July 3, 2012 for compliance with the Cargo Handling Equipment (CHE) regulation. The inspection indicated that there were several pieces of equipment out of compliance. On May 14, 2013 a Notice of Violation was issued to Pasha for violations to Title 13 CCR § 2479. Since the NOV was received Pasha retired and retrofit all the CHE in violation and are now fully compliant with the CHE regulation. The case was settled on August 5, 2014 after the Settlement Agreement was signed by both parties and the penalty of $52,500 was received
