Referee Job Advertisement
CARB has contracted with the University of California, Riverside (UCR) and the California State University, Fresno (CSU-Fresno) to provide Referee services for California’s Clean Truck Check. The Referee testing network will provide testing services for vehicles dealing with unique and uncommon programmatic situations such as vehicles that undergo engine changes, have issues with completing the standard compliance testing, and/or may have been found to have tampered emissions control systems.
UCR and CSU-Fresno are currently hiring Referee Tester positions to support their Referee network operation. Under general supervision, the Referee Tester will perform inspections of vehicles, document test results, and provide information to vehicle owners and program management. The Referee Tester is required to have experience in the automotive inspection, diagnosis, and repair industry, and will have to maintain practical knowledge of Clean Truck Check requirements and procedures. If you are interested in becoming a referee tester at either UCR and CSU-Fresno, more information on the positions and application process are below.
