On December 13, 2006, Royal Purple Ltd. settled the alleged violations in a Notice of Violation for $4,000. Royal Purple Ltd. is alleged offering for sale the Royal Purple Synthetic Oil Maxfilm product which exceeded the VOC limit for the multi-purpose lubricant category. All multi-purpose lubricants must meet the 50 percent VOC limit as stipulated in the Consumer Products Regulation.
