Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. Case Settles for $1,500
In August, 2009, Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. agreed to pay $1,500 in penalties; $1,125 to the California Air Pollution Fund, $187.50 to the California Air Pollution Financing Authority and $187.50 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. agreed to the $1,500 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
