Armstrong World Industries, Inc. Case Settles for $228,000
On October 26, 2010, a case was settled with Armstrong World Industries, Inc. for selling non-compliant Bruce Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner into California that was subject to the 4 percent by weight volatile organic compound (VOC) limit for non-aerosol wood cleaner, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The company also failed to report an explanation of their date code 12 months prior to the effective date of the standard and to file their date code on an annual basis beginning in 2006. The company paid $228,000 to settle the case.
