Zeitgeist Equestrian LLC Case Settles for $500
In February 2015, Zeitgeist Equestrian LLC paid $500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $375.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $125.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Zeitgeist Equestrian LLC failed to timely report their diesel truck to assure the trucks met state compliance requirements for the Truck and Bus regulation (STB). ARB documented a violation of reporting as they related to STB. To settle the case, Zeitgeist Equestrian LLC agreed to the $500.00 penalty and to comply with the other ARB programs.
