International Merchandising Service Inc. Case Settles for $1,500
In May 2015, International Merchandising Service, Inc. (IMS) agreed to pay $1,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that IMS had non-complaint generators that were not legal for sale in California. To settle the case, IMS agreed to the $1,500.00 penalty and to comply with the 13 California Code of Regulations section 2400(a)(2). This settlement takes into consideration that IMS removed the units in question and was proactive and cooperative throughout the enforcement process.
