Delta Brands and Gulsah Uretim Pazarlama Case Settles for $13,940
On June 12, 2015, a case was settled with Delta Brands, Inc. for selling “Lucky Supersoft Regular Nail Polish Remover” and “Lucky Supersoft Lemon Scent Nail Polish Remover” subject to the VOC limit for the Nail Polish Remover category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The products were manufactured for Delta Brands by Gulsah Uretim Pazarlama in Turkey. The products contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 1 percent by weight VOC limit and the excess emissions in this case were approximately 0.125 tons. In addition, a date code explanation was not filed for this product. Since this was a second violation for Delta Brands, the company paid $13,940 to settle the case.
