CVS Pharmacy, Inc. and Apollo Health & Beauty Care Case Settles for $6,520
On June 23, 2015, a case was settled jointly with Apollo Health & Beauty Care and CVS Pharmacy, Inc. for manufacturing and selling a private label (store brand) product, CVS Spiking Glue Extreme Hold, that exceeded the 2 percent VOC limit for Hair Styling Product: all other form category specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). There were approximately 0.36 tons of excess VOC emissions. Both CVS and Apollo H&BC admitted the VOC violations and the product manufacturer, Apollo H&BC, paid $6,520.00 to settle the case.
