CVS Pharmacy, Inc. and Apollo Health & Beauty Care Settlement Case Settles for $3,400
On June 23, 2015, a case was settled jointly with Apollo Health & Beauty Care and CVS Pharmacy, Inc. for manufacturing and selling a product named Fruitopia Weightless Volume Styling Gel which exceeded the 2 percent VOC limit for Hair Styling Product: all other form category specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). There were approximately 0.12 tons of excess VOC emissions. Both companies admitted to the VOC violation and the product manufacturer, Apollo H&BC, paid $3,400.00 to settle the case.
