Cargo Northwest Forwarders, INC. Settles For $20,000.00
In September 2019, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) settled a case for $20,000.00 with Cargo Northwest Forwarders, Inc. (CNWF), located in San Diego, California. CARB documented that CNWF failed to bring one of their on-road diesel fueled vehicles into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards under the Truck and Bus Regulation, pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025. CNWF entered into a settlement agreement with CARB and agreed to pay a total of $20,000.00 in penalties and to comply with the Truck and Bus Regulation and other CARB programs. The penalty payment will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
