ZEV forward Long Beach Public Dialogue Session
Categories
This public session is intended to help inform California’s efforts to assess additional actions to spur light-, medium-, and heavy-duty zero emission vehicle (ZEV) adoption in the state. The sessions will bring together policymakers, experts and leaders from the environmental and scientific communities, automotive and trucking industries, fleet operators, community groups, and the public to discuss a variety of issues including infrastructure, incentives, partnerships, and emission reduction strategies.
This meeting will feature a facilitated discussion with focus on the topics of Infrastructure and Ports.
Our facilitator is using the following four questions to guide the conversation with the audience:
- Given recent federal program changes, what is the #1 action that California can take to maintain momentum in the zero emission market?
- In order to meet air quality and climate targets, what types of programs would you like to see these agencies assess and possibly implement?
- Government incentives don’t necessarily need to be monetary. What kinds of programs other than financial support could provide incentive to purchase and operate zero emission vehicles and equipment?
- To get to widespread use of zero emission vehicles and equipment, we need to bring all Californians along. What are some principles for program design that ensure we don’t leave any Californians behind?
Time permitting, discussion of other topic areas will be included.
ZEV Forward brings together all of California's efforts to advance clean vehicles and technology to ensure continued progress towards clean air, a robust economy, and healthy communities for all. Starting with a series of dialogue sessions around the state, this effort will make sure all Californians will have a say in the path forward.
